One piece high density plastic that is filled with polyurethane foam that is impervious to body fluids. Lightweight and buoyant. 100% x-ray translucent and made without rods, rails or runners. Non-slip, mild grain surface and are void and seem free. With 22 large recessed hand holes to ensure the safe transportation of patients whilst allowing clearance when picking up the back board. It has two handles at the tapered end to allow for more stable transport and also has angled edges for log-rolling. The board has an opening down the lower half to immobilise each leg separately if so desired. Compatible with head immobilistion devices. Supplied with pins. Straps sold separately.
